The New Ideas Lab with new research assistants :))

Seriously, it does seem a lot easier to think up new stuff with a more relaxed mind and attitude
and as we stroll about the deck (aka, the new boardroom space ) we are keener than ever to resume our Internetting when we pop back inside and then there is the never ending cry of how shall we fill in our time now that we aren't continually in a traffic jam. The time we save on cutting lawns as we relax on our sunloungers listening to the gentle sound of the cows munching down the grass we would have had to cut in the city as Rick Stein says, it doesn't get any better than this.

The New Research and Development Space :)

Tweetdeck !

Our latest Tweetdeck - it is such hard work thinking up what to tweet from here but someone has to do it ....... sometimes I think of those people hard at work racing around - usually on Monday mornings - that's when I think of them .....

Ed Dale 30 Day Challenge - Should we do it ? -

Hi Guys,
Two years since the last post !
I should be sounding a bugle or something.
Seriously, two years ?
What possible reason could I have to be so long writing this post ?

We have been on dial up for about 10 months.
Miserable as church mice we have been.
Yeah, Right. Its true, I promise you.

It has been unbelievably slow - down to 11,000kps sometimes.
The air has been blue - practically midnight blue ! We were over the moon
and practically groveled at the technicians feet when he came to connect us up.

Now, with high speed Internet again, we thought of Ed's graphic example about how if you don't have the right tools then its like trying to cut hair with (his daughter's) craft scissors.
Wonder why that stuck ? Ed's correct - its VERY true !

Connected again is like arriving in time for Christmas at Santa's Toy sack.
But with dial up we learned first hand how long pages take to load and which pages load faster .
Not ours ! That was before, now we edit.....

So, should we do the Thirty Day Challenge again this year ?

A lot has changed since the last Challenge.
We have moved to the country .
We are in free flow.
Pretty scary at times but hey, the money keeps arriving, we're not really sure how - maybe they have forgotten to say we have escaped to the country and they have forgotten to cancel the salary ! Seriously, folks we haven't been idle and have moved into Art and Creativity.

Check out my Creative Solutions Studio here

And go here to see some of my "after" artwork

Our new "office" at sunset

New "Workmates"

Even with the distractions of rural living and drawback of dial up, we have been plodding ( yep, right word with dial up) along researching and working away and the air has been blue. I tell you, even the cat has left the room on occasions !

BUT - the best research has been done in the board room and ideas lab. We will be posting photos of our new boardroom shortly so keep looking for something you will like for sure !

We have a research and development centre, an ideas lab, new water cooler, peace and quiet and plenty of space for R & R.

Supervisors here though, have very beady eyes, are extremely watchful and not easy to con unless food is delivered when they become glassy eyed and quite mellow being of the feathered variety. When food arrives they all relax their standards completely and any of our actions are tolerated and we are not viewed with suspicion :) Hens of course I am talking about - we are so madly keen on them we even have a blog on them too ! Click here to spot the Chooks

Chooks are one thing but you still need the dosh to swan around and do your own thing and firing the boss is OK but we've also fired the salary so we've implemented a lot of Ed's ideas and also joined up with the Wealthy Affiliates - Kyle and Carson. Read about them here - click on the link that says "Wealthy Affiliate University" to see all the things they are offering.

Definitely do the Thirty Day Challenge you will learn heaps and heaps about Internet Marketing and if you are a beginner join up as a member and check out the forum where you will learn to make your first dollars online and you too may be able to Escape to the Country if you want !

The Thirty Day Challenge Day 24 Already !

Day 24 !
Can you believe it ?

My eyes are out on stalks after all the research and I have had lots of late nights and early mornings but throughout it all I find I am keener than ever to experience the thrills of finding that super hot, niche market that turns makes me sit upright. Its not so much that I have strained the old eyeballs, more that the information we have received from Ed Dale, Dan Raine and the gang has sometimes been eye-boggling !

I have rediscovered long lost passions and pastimes I was madly keen about before the advent of the internet. Now I have learnt new skills to research my interests and write about what I enjoy and would like to share with others and I have also discovered that without a keen interest in my topic I become bored very easily and that reflects in my writing.

Keen, keen, keen and now even keener !

I feel sorry for the 30 Day Challengers whose partners are not involved - who knows when they will surface again or when they will meet up with their partners as the Challenge is so gripping & even the jokes and comments are so Challenge-orientated that you really need to have been there to experience the humor of it all. My husband and I are both doing the Challenge and one well placed comment will send us both into fits of laughter and to an outsider they would not have a clue what the joke was !! Passion at home has been replaced (temporarily I hope) for passion for keyword research ! How sad is that ? Hey, maybe that's a niche ?

Niche finding can use up masses of time and can be exciting, boring, exhilarating and downright maddening too but there is always The Niche Empire Generator

When I was doing it the hard way with paper and pencil, before I discovered The Niche Empire Generator, I even made up a limerick again whilst researching:

"Spaghetti Hatti" it goes like this:

There once was a lady call Hatti
When researching she got very ratty
She stumbled and dugg
Til her head was a fugg
And she blew up in a bog of spaghetti !!

Naturally, this is my own invention, born of mad nites of passion for research !

Seriously though, I have learned so many new skills and techniques, keyword research, writing articles, ( yes, can hear the comments now - long way to go!) becoming familiar with all the blog platforms, even Google analytics ! I even find that fascinating. Me, the person who wouldn't wait two minutes for something happen before. I can't fathom it. Amazing how you struggle to grasp something and go over and over it to get to grips with it to find that after you have mastered it and go to do it again you wonder how ever you were that dim in the beginning!

Tuesday 28 August

I have just been outside looking at the eclipse of the moon - amazing, the skies just cleared and we could see it clearly.l Used the binoculars and saw quite a bit - it would be incredible from an observatory.

Came inside inspired and did some surfing and checking out interesting stuff and spotted an amazing site - Atomic Blogging Pretty interesting stuff here and some free info and goodies to check out.

That's it! Heading off to do some art for a change !

Underwater kickboxing, speed reading chefs with knives

Wooooohoooo !!!! I'm on the track ! Honestly I feel like this picture of the cat with huge eyes trying to make sense out of the meaning of the totem pole !! But its working people :))

The Thirty day challenge is now on Day 10 and I feel slack at not having kept up to date with the blog about all the neat stuff so far ......

Ed said it would blow our minds and that's my excuse for not keeping up to date but you will need to become a member to access that & find out all its secrets !!

I have been hard at it getting all the firefox add-ons, keeping up with the podcasts, video's and audio's and reading through all the forum info with snippets and gems from new Thirty Day Challengers and help from the more experienced Challengers.

There's been loads of fun too and lots of frustrations and laughs and poking fun at everyone and
I have joined a new group on Facebook called "Underwater kickboxing, speed reading chefs with knives" - a neat fun group as the name suggests, take a look on Facebook and do a search for it & you will see what I mean.......

Ed has even done a car cast and we are waiting for the canoe-cast after this weekend
who knows what adventures he will come up with and he will be canoeing around in his latest niche market where even the water he is on will become grist for the latest niche marketing idea !

Anyway I've been inspired enough to do this limerick to celebrate the challenge and its spirit of fun"

There once was an Aussie named Ed
Who kept us all from late from our bed

He drove us all mad with a song,
About a man in a skimpy pink thong

But we love every second, the challenges a hoot
As we struggle to stuff all the loot in our boot !!
